Personal profile

Education and experience

  • University degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline;
  • Approximately 10 years of relevant Retail marketing experience and/or FMCG marketing experience;
  • International experience, preferably PAN European;
  • Proven track record in leading and developing people;
  • Fluent in English, proficiency in Dutch not a must.

Employment conditions and location

Action offers a local Dutch compensation package consisting of an attractive base salary, variable remuneration, long term incentive plan and a company car. If necessary a relocation fee and support regarding international schools for children can be provided.

Fulltime position based at the international headquarter in Zwaagdijk-Oost, The Netherlands (30 min. drive from Amsterdam).

About the position


The Head of Marketing reports to the Commercial Director, leads 3 teams at the international headquarter (Private Label, Campaign and Traffic & Production) plus local marketers in France and Germany and is a key member of the ACTION commercial management team. In the upcoming years the Head of Marketing is expected to upgrade and develop the marketing team both at the international headquarter and in the countries in line with ACTION’s strong growth and ambitions. Key assignment in this position is to drive like for like growth by increasing store visit frequency.
